It teaches you to tone down the trolling, because no one really wants to read TOTAL crap. It teaches you to have a 20/80 blend of crap to worthwhile words; for your sake and for those that might want to read.

It teaches you to not be so defensive and so dismissive of anything, and to try and counter anything in a more logical manner. If not logical, then humorous. If failing that, to simply turn around and leave.

I'm not saying I'll stop trolling because thats just madness. But I can't lie and say that my comments haven't moved from stupid and more towards reasonable.

I try, because I like it here. It means almost nothing, I'll log off and go back to life and continue on, but while I'm here the least I can do is not be a total ass. I know there are many here that care not, and to you I say I care just as much. To those that do, I say that as someone who has been here for too damn long that whether I like it or not, I have a obligation to not screw around and to set some kind of reasonable example.

But seriously though, don't be dicks. Applies to me. Applies to you. Applies to the owners. Applies to everyone. I can't expect respect back if I can't handle the rules myself. None of us can. Tit for tat. Whats good for the goose. Etc etc.

I think it's amazing how people acted just because one person they admire publicly denounces your comment. It was such hypocrisy. The (rightfully criticized) photographer replied to you in a dickish manner and you were dragged through the mud by everyone for dismissing the comment. If it weren't a reply by the photographer, you would have never been in trouble. I see why your trolling pissed people off, but if someone has a gripe, they should have expressed it before and not in such a passive-aggressive fashion. While trolling is immature, the reaction was far, far more childish. Anyways, cheers to your statement.

I did see Porsche...(owner) rant on this forum, though.

I think we all get rubbed the wrong way from time to time and it is OK, from time to time, to respond in some harsh ways.

I have read comments/posts that I totally thought were BS, but I realized that they thought it was valid so I did not say anything and just went on to the next page.

The beauty of this forum is we, for the most part, are accepting of each others quirks. Even if we know the poster is full of crap.

Haha. It was quite entertaining, although I really hurt my reputation by slinging mud from Fort Victorious. Das, I believe, came very close to dropping the ban hammer when I wrote a sarcastic, stupid rebuttal to the posts publicly deriding you. I promptly deleted it, but people were pissed at me big time. Really funny how it's okay to be a dick to one person and not have anyone care, and then call them out and nearly be banned. It just makes you realize that however great this community is, it's made up o regular humans who will instinctively lash out at the person the "alpha male" is denouncing. Hence my being burned by sticking up for the person everyone was jumping on. I'd be extremely pissed if I were you, warranted though some of the gripes of others may have been. I'd stick up for anyone in the same situation, although it would not happen to someone with average name recognition on the site. It seemed like Kony 2012, except VS 2013. Hell, anyone who would have first come on the site would have thought you had slammed a 454 Chevelle or crushed a miata or something.

Anyways, I'll wrap up the rant here. At least the whole debacle is over and hadn't resurfaced until the Hardibro post made top stories today.

I had no idea you even did that. I didn't even know my character assassination was going on till someone IN REAL FREAKING LIFE said "Hey, did you see that post on Oppo? Who did you piss off so badly?"

And we know how the story went from there. Its the hive mentality we are all guilty of. Maybe I put myself in that position by simply being so...loud? Obnoxious? I don't know. The hive is a fickle thing to trifle with. I wasn't pissed, just confused. I didn't think I was worthy of a public slam fest, but clearly I'm thought better of here and deserve only the best. Or worst.

But what happened, happened. I don't really give a flying fuck about appeasing those people who would otherwise hide their cowardice behind a keyboard. Everyone has people like that in every facet of life. Only care to keep doing things I would do, maybe with some more proof reading.

And hey, Matt could have banned me entirely if he wanted to. He didn't. That counts for something I guess.
